On the 7th December, a group of year 10 students attended an Information and Guidance Conference at the University of Leeds. The students had a fantastic time and found it very informative. They learnt about the various courses on offer at University and advised students about choosing their A-Levels and GCSE’s to link with their chosen career path. They also had a session about student finance and budgeting in which they took part in an activity to help them understand how much a University student would need to live on. The event also included a tour of the University Campus lead by student ambassadors which every student commented on. The students ended the day on a high as they won a competition against another school and were crowned the University Challenge champions.
“I enjoyed learning more about how much of a budget we get and who we can ask for help.”
