Four of our Year 7 students recently represented the school at the Kirklees World Book Day Quiz in Huddersfield.  Our enthusiastic readers answered questions on 20 books, competed against 42 other teams and achieved a very good 11th place.

The students embraced the challenge of reading lots of different books that they would not normally have chosen and they especially enjoyed the quiz event, being tested on their knowledge and joining in the poems and tongue twisters from compere Conrad Burdekin.

The annual event is a celebration of reading and also a challenge and a reward for some of our amazing readers.
