Pupils Showing Their Results

Westborough High School is proud to announce our impressive GCSE results which reflect our continued consistency and strength. This year has seen an increase in the number of students achieving a grade 4+ and 5+ in both English and maths to 49% and 25% respectively.

We are a truly inclusive school that embraces an ‘Every Child Every Day’ philosophy and this, along with the fantastic support and dedication of our parents, carers and our wonderfully resourceful teachers have allowed us to scale such heights. These GCSE grades reflect our continuing improvement and quest for high standards. We feel immensely proud of the achievements of our young people. Well done everybody!

A few other highlights

In 2017 /18 significant reform to the assessment system continues with results in 23 subjects using the new 9-1 grading scale. The new grading system and reformed qualifications were introduced to provide updated and more challenging content as well as to better differentiate at the top end of student performance.

We are pleased to announce that a significant number of our students achieved the highest grades of 7, 8 and 9 across a range of subjects. This is a fantastic achievement and one that clearly shows that students, parents and teachers deserve congratulation for succeeding in preparing well for these new, more demanding GCSE qualifications.
