At Westborough, we believe in providing our students with a broad and balanced curriculum which is tailored to the needs of individuals. We know that a traditional curriculum model suits our students best; where they are given time to consolidate and build on their knowledge in their first few years and specialise in their chosen subjects as they approach their GCSEs.
At Westborough High School we are committed to delivering a valuable Careers Programme to all our students as soon as they begin their secondary education.
Success at school can be achieved through a partnership between home and school. Our mutual aims are to emphasise the belief that the best education is provided when school and parents work closely together and our responsibilities are clearly stated.
Westborough was built in 1960 and continues to go from strength to strength. We have Foundation School status having forged close relationships with our partners Heckmondwike Grammar School, Kirklees College, Kirklees Council and the University of Huddersfield.
Pupils make Westborough what it is and everything is geared towards supporting pupils so that they can achieve great things and fulfill their potential during their time at Westborough
The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support Year 7 students who did not achieve at least a level 4 in reading and/or maths at the end of key stage 2.
