VIPS - BUSINESS FRENCH

Vocational course in Business French leading to level 1 or 2 NVQ.

This course offers ideal preparation for using languages in the workplace.

There are no exams and the ethos of the course is to help students achieve in each module covering business etiquette and skills within topics of direct relevance.

  • Greetings, jobs & company structure.
  • Family and interests.
  • Hotel bookings and travel arrangements.
  • Dealing with visitors to a company and visiting a company.
  • At the restaurant.
  • Communications by telephone, fax, email & formal letter.

 

This course offers ample ICT opportunities and one or more visits.

Work is assessed through a portfolio.  Students receive regular feedback on progress and how to improve.  Level 1 achievement earns equivalent points to Grade D GCSE.  Level 2 earns equivalent points of grade B GCSE.

There may well be opportunity to achieve level 1 or 2 in Business German or Business Spanish, once one level of French has been achieved.
