Our aim is to send you out at the end of Year 11 as a literate, confident young adult, able to communicate in a wide range of situations.

What you need to do is to follow up the advice you are given and to remember that each small step will take you further along the path to GCSE success!

Who will teach me and what class will I be in?

You will have one English teacher for all of your lessons. You will find out in the summer term who your English teacher will be. In Year 10 we target two sets of students with the potential to gain a very high grade (As and Bs). The remaining sets, are mixed: students in these groups are given the support needed to ensure that as many as possible see the course through to a GCSE Grade C and that ALL students fulfil their potential. All that we need is commitment and hard work from you
