School Awards

The school has received numerous awards for its performance in a broad range of activities.  This page celebrates the success and hard work of our wonderful students and staff.   

 

We are a specialist college for Business & Enterprise. Our curriculum is at the cutting edge for innovation in enterprising education.
  We are a specialist college for Arts and specialise in performing arts.
 

As a Specialist College we are member of the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust partnership of schools.  Our specialisms are Business, Enterprise and Performing Arts.
  We successfully achieved Investors in People 2010. It is recognition of good practice against the benchmark of a nationally recognised standard and underpins our commitment to good practice in the management and development of our people.

 

We are a Leading Edge School.  Members of this elite group are high performing schools who share their expertise with other local schools in order to raise standards with particular emphasis on pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  The school is committed to developing leadership and is an NCSL Leadership School developing NPQH students.
  The school has achieved Healthy School status due to its commitment to healthy eating, PSHE, School Sport and Emotional Health and Wellbeing.
  We achieved Artsmark Gold recently which is the highest level of achievement a school can attain by completing all compulsory sections of the application form and the optional requirements for Gold.

  Quality Standards Mark.
  School achievement award 2001 and 2003 given to schools where pupils’ results showed significant improvement on the last year’s performance and when compared to other schools.  
  The Sportsmark award is presented to schools that deliver PE to at least 90 per cent of pupils for at least 2 hours each week.  Awarded in 2005 and 2008.
  FA Youth Partner Award.
